Anjali Vyas

Anjali Vyas, a Chemical Engineer turned IELTS Trainer and a Disability Rights advocate, co-founded Believe in the Invisible to advocate for people with invisible disabilities. Diagnosed with MS in 2014, Anjali began advocating for affordable treatment and research with the MS Society of India. Her relentless efforts, including a petition led to a National MS Registry by ICMR in 2022. She presently also serves as the Honarary Joint Secretary of MS Society of India, Pune Chapter. As a disability research fellow at NCPEDP, her work focussed on employment for people with MS & blood disorders. She is also an alumnus of a leadership program of the U.S Department of State and was the Ambassador of Multiple Sclerosis at the Purple Fest in January 2023. Her goal is to build an inclusive society for people with disabilities while pursuing her passion for teaching.

Aarti Batra

Aarti Batra is a 25-year-old woman with an invisible disability, Thalassemia Major. She is currently enrolled in a PhD program at the University of Delhi, where she will be studying the memoirs of women with chronic illnesses and their potential contributions to the emerging discipline of bio-cultures. Aarti has a background in English Literature and is passionate about the feminist movement, human rights, accessibility, and impactful research. She has been working in the disability sector for the last two years through the Javed-Abidi Fellowship Program, where she assessed the accessibility and availability of public healthcare for people with disabilities in Gurgaon. She has been a Research consultant on various policy evaluations with clients like The World Bank. 

Shashank Pandey

Legal and Policy Advisor

Shashank is a Research Fellow at Vidhi, specializing in legal and policy matters concerning climate and environment. Previously a LAMP Fellow, he drafted legislation on environment, disability, and technology for a Lok Sabha MP. As a Javed Abidi Fellow at NCPEDP, he focused on inclusivity and accessibility issues, particularly the political exclusion of disabled individuals. Shashank holds a BA LLB (IP hons) from Dr Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, followed by an LLM. His policy-related articles are widely published.
